2 Maccabees 13:22

The king treated with them in Bethsura the second time, gave his hand, took their's, departed, fought with Judas, was overcome:

The king negotiated with them in Bethsura the second time, gave his hand, took theirs, departed, attacked the forces of Judas, was put to the worse,

After this did the King commune with them that were in Beth-sura, and "toke truce with them, departed, and ioyned battel with Iudas, who ouercame him.
