Acceptance

By using sovereignlogos.com, subscribing to our email or SMS programs, or installing and using the Sovereign Logos mobile apps for iOS or Android, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

Sovereign Logos publishes a daily Bible reading plan, study materials, a chapter comparison interface, and a mobile Bible reader for iOS and Android. The Old Testament uses Brenton's public domain Septuagint translation and, where available, an updated public domain Septuagint edition; the New Testament uses the public domain King James Version. Restored books and study notes are provided as ministry resources.

Email subscription

When you subscribe to email, you consent to receive a daily Bible reading message at the address you provide, plus occasional service notices. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

SMS subscription

When you submit your mobile number on the subscribe page and complete the confirmation step, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Sovereign Logos at that number, including:

• Daily Bible reading notifications.
• Account and transactional messages (confirmation codes, opt-in and opt-out confirmations, service notices).

Message frequency varies but typically does not exceed one message per day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, or STOP at any time to cancel. After replying STOP you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages unless you re-subscribe.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS is available on supported U.S. mobile carriers only.

Mobile information, phone numbers, and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Mobile apps

The Sovereign Logos mobile apps are free to install and use. No account, sign-in, or registration is required — every feature works guest-first.

No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions. The apps contain no advertising, no paid tiers, no in-app purchases, and no subscriptions. This is a permanent commitment of the ministry, not a launch-day posture. If sponsorship ever underwrites ministry operations in the future, it will be disclosed directly and will not take the form of in-app advertising or tracking.

Your content stays yours, on your device. Bookmarks, highlights, and notes you create are stored locally on your phone and never leave it. They belong to you. Uninstalling the app removes them; if you reinstall, they do not come back.

Daily reading reminder. If you opt in to the optional daily reminder, the app stores a small registration record on our server (a randomly generated device ID, your APNs/FCM token, your chosen reminder time and timezone) so the reminder can be delivered. Toggling the reminder off hard-deletes the registration. See our Privacy Policy for the exhaustive list of fields and retention rules.

App Store and Play Store terms.The iOS app is distributed through the Apple App Store and is licensed to you subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) in addition to these Terms. Where Apple's Standard EULA and these Terms conflict with respect to your use of the iOS app, Apple's Standard EULA governs that specific conflict; all other matters are governed by these Terms. You agree that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with respect to your use of the iOS app. The Android app is distributed through Google Play and is subject to Google's Play Terms of Service in addition to these Terms.

Offline caching. The apps cache scripture text and, at your choice, scripture audio to your device for offline use. Cache size is bounded and user-configurable in Settings. You can clear the cache at any time.

Device compatibility. The apps target reasonably current versions of iOS and Android. We may drop support for older operating system versions in future releases; older versions of the app will continue to function until retired by the respective store.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit a phone number or email address that is not yours, or that you do not have permission to enroll.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or probe the service for vulnerabilities.
• Scrape or republish content in ways that misrepresent the source.
• Decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code from the mobile apps beyond the extent allowed by applicable law.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Content and copyright

Scripture text on the site is in the public domain. Original study notes, design, code, and other ministry-produced material are owned by Sovereign Logos and provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may share readings and quotations freely; please do not republish wholesale or claim authorship.

Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of defects, or that messages or notifications will always be delivered on time or at all.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sovereign Logos shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or ministry content, arising from or related to your use of the website, email or SMS subscription, or mobile apps. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) any amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, which for free services is zero, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, except where applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
