Sirach 17:16

Every man from his youth is given to evil; neither could they make to themselves fleshy hearts for stony.

*And he did chuse Israel, as a peculiar people to him self, whome he nourisheth with discipline as his first borne, and giueth him moste louing light, and doeth not forsake him.
