Sirach 3:24

For many are deceived by their own vain opinion; and an evil suspicion has overthrown their judgment.

For the conceit of many has led them astray. Evil opinion has caused their judgment to slip.

Be not curious in superfluous things: for many things are shewed vnto thee aboue the capacitie of men.
