Wisdom of Solomon 17:4

For neither might the corner that held them keep them from fear: but noises [as of waters] falling down sounded about them, and sad visions appeared to them with heavy countenances.

For neither did the dark recesses that held them guard them from fears, but terrifying sounds rang around them, and dismal phantoms appeared with unsmiling faces.

For the denne that hid them, kept them not from feare: but the soundes that were about them, troubled them, and terrible visions and sorowful sights did appeare.
