Sirach 10:14

The Lord hath cast down the thrones of proud princes, and set up the meek in their stead.

The Lord hath cast down the thrones of proud princes, and set up the meek in their stead.

The Lord cast down the thrones of rulers and set the lowly in their place.

For pride is the original of sinne, and he that hathe it,shal powre out abominacion, til at last he be ouerthrowen : therefore the Lord bringeth the persuasious [of the wicked] to dishonour, and destroieth them in the end.
