1And these [are] the commands, and the ordinances, and the judgments, as many as the Lord our God gave commandment to teach you to do so in the land on which you⌃ enter to inherit it.
1Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
2That you⌃ may fear the Lord your God, keep you⌃ all his ordinances, and his commandments, which I command you today, you, and your sons, and your sons' sons, all the days of your life, that you⌃ may live many days .
2That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
3Hear, therefore, O Israel, and observe to do them, that it may be well with you, and that you⌃ may be greatly multiplied, as the Lord God of your fathers said that he would give you a land flowing with milk and honey: and these [are] the ordinances, and the judgments, which the Lord commanded the children of Israel in the wilderness, when they had gone forth from the land of Egypt.
3Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
4Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God is one Lord.

5And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and all your strength.
5And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6And these words, all that I command you this day, shall be in your heart and in your soul.
6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7And you shall teach them to your children, and you shall speak of them sitting in the house, and walking by the way, and lying down, and rising up.
7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8And you shall fasten them for a sign upon your hand, and it shall be immoveable before your eyes.
8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9And you⌃ shall write them on the lintels of your houses and of your gates.
9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
10And it shall come to pass when the Lord your God shall have brought you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraam, and to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you great and beautiful citieswhich you did not build,
10And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
11houses full of all good thingswhich you did not fill, wells dug in the rock which you did not dig, vineyards and olive yards which you did not plant, then having eaten and been filled,
11And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
12beware lest you forget the Lord your God that brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
12Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
13You shall fear the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve; and you shall cleave to him, and by his name you shall swear.
13Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
14Go you⌃ not after other godsof the gods of the nations round about you;
14Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
15for the Lord your God in the midst of you [is] a jealous God, lest the Lord your God be very angry with you, and destroy you from off the face of the earth.
15(For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
16You shall not tempt the Lord your God, as you⌃ tempted him in the temptation.
16Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
17You shall by all means keep the commands of the Lord your God, the testimonies, and the ordinances, which he commanded you.
17Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
18And you shall do that which is pleasing and good before the Lord your God, that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and inherit the good land, which the Lord swore to your fathers,
18And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers,
19to chase all your enemies from before your face, as the Lord said.
19To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the Lord hath spoken.
20And it shall come to pass when your son shall ask you at a future time , saying, What are the testimonies, and the ordinances, and the judgments, which the Lord our God has commanded us?
20And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord our God hath commanded you?
21Then shall you say to your son, We were slaves to Pharao in the land of Egypt, and the Lord brought us forth thence with a mighty hand, and with a high arm.
21Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
22And the Lord wrought signs and great and grievous wonders in Egypt, on Pharao and on his house before us.
22And the Lord shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
23And he brought us out thenceto give us this land, which he swore to give to our fathers.
23And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
24And the Lord charged us to observe all these ordinances; to fear the Lord our God, that it may be well with us for ever, that we may live, as even today.
24And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
25And there shall be mercy to us, if we take heed to keep all these commands before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us.
25And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.
