1(113) Alleluia. Praise the Lord, you⌃ servants [of his], praise, the name of the Lord.
1Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments.
2Let the name of the Lord be blessed, from this present time and for ever.
2His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3From the rising of the sun to his setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
3Wealth and riches are in his house. His righteousness endures forever.
4The Lord is high above all the nations; his glory is above the heavens.
4Light dawns in the darkness for the upright, gracious, merciful, and righteous.
5Who is as the Lord our God? who dwells in the high places,
5It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment.
6and [yet] looks upon the low things in heaven, and on the earth:
6For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.
7who lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises up the needy from the dunghill;
7He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in Yahweh.
8to set him with princes, [even] with the princes of his people:
8His heart is established. He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries.
9who settles the barren [woman] in a house, [as] a mother rejoicing over children.
9He has dispersed, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.
