1(120) A Song of Degrees. In my affliction I cried to the Lord, and he listened to me.
1Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2Deliver my soul, O Lord, from unjust lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
2Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
3What should be given to you, and what should be added to you, for [your] crafty tongue?
3They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
4Sharpened weapons of the mighty, with coals of the desert.
4Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
5Woe is me, that my sojourning is prolonged; I have tabernacled among the tents of Kedar.
5O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
6My soul has long been a sojourner;
6Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7I was peaceful among them that hated peace; when I spoke to them, they warred against me without a cause.
7I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
