1(132) A Song of Degrees. Lord, remember David, and all his meekness:
1A Song of Ascents. By David. Yahweh, my heart isn’t arrogant, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.
2how he swore to the Lord, [and] vowed to the God of Jacob, [saying],
2Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3I will not go into the tabernacle of my house; I will not go up to the couch of my bed;
3Israel, hope in Yahweh, from this time forward and forever more.
