1For the end, a Psalm of David.
1The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee.
2Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3Send thee help from the sanctuary, and aid thee out of Sion.
3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4Remember all thy sacrifice, and enrich thy whole-burnt-offering. Pause.
4Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5Grant thee according to thy heart, and fulfil all thy desire.
5Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6We will exult in thy salvation, and in the name of our God shall we be magnified: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.
6His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7Now I know that the Lord has saved his Christ: he shall hear him from his holy heaven: the salvation of his right hand is mighty.
7The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8Some [glory] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will glory in the name of the Lord our God.
8The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9They are overthrown and fallen: but we are risen, and have been set upright.
9The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10O Lord, save the king: and hear us in whatever day we call upon thee.
10More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
