¹(26) [A Psalm] of David. Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in my innocence: and hoping in the Lord I shall not be moved.

¹By David. To you, Yahweh, I lift up my soul.

²Prove me, O Lord, and try me; purify as with fire my reins and my heart.

²My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.

³For your mercy is before my eyes: and I am well pleased with your truth.

³Yes, no one who waits for you will be shamed. They will be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.

⁴I have not sat with the council of vanity, and will in nowise enter in with transgressors.

⁴Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths.

⁵I have hated the assembly of wicked doers; and will not sit with ungodly [men].

⁵Guide me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation. I wait for you all day long.

⁶I will wash my hands in innocency, and compass your altar, O Lord:

⁶Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for they are from old times.

⁷to hear the voice of praise, and to declare all your wonderful works.

⁷Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Remember me according to your loving kindness, for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh.

⁸O Lord, I have loved the beauty of your house, and the place of the tabernacle of your glory.

⁸Good and upright is Yahweh, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.

⁹Destroy not my soul together with the ungodly, nor my life with bloody men:

⁹He will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way.

¹⁰in whose hands [are] iniquities, [and] their right hand is filled with bribes.

¹⁰All the paths of Yahweh are loving kindness and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

¹¹But I have walked in my innocence: redeem me, and have mercy upon me.

¹¹For your name’s sake, Yahweh, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

¹²My foot stands in an even place: in the congregations will I bless you, O Lord.

¹²What man is he who fears Yahweh? He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose.
