1(65) For the end, a Psalm [and] Song of David. Praise becomes you, O God, in Sion; and to you shall the vow be performed.
1Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2Hear my prayer; to you all flesh shall come.
2Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3The words of transgressors have overpowered us; but do you pardon our sins.
3Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4Blessed [is he] whom you have chosen and adopted; he shall dwell in your courts; we shall be filled with the good things of your house; your temple is holy.
4That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5[You are] wonderful in righteousness. Listen to us, O God our Saviour; the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of them [that are] on the sea afar off:
5They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6who do establish the mountains in your strength, being girded about with power;
6They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
7who trouble the depth of the sea, the sounds of its waves.
7But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
8The nations shall be troubled, and they that inhabit the ends [of the earth] shall be afraid of your signs; you will cause the outgoings of morning and evening to rejoice.
8So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
9You have visited the earth, and saturated it; you have abundantly enriched it. The river of God is filled with water; you have prepared their food, for thus is the preparation [of it].
9And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
10Saturate her furrows, multiply her fruits; [the crop] springing up shall rejoice in its drops.
10The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
