The Book of Esther is bookended by a dream and its interpretation. Remove Part 1 and remove this ending - exactly what the Masoretes did - and Esther has no theological frame at all. Just court intrigue. No prayer. No God named. No meaning. The Septuagint kept the whole arc whole.
