WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN 60 SECONDS
• Hebrews 1:6 quotes a line — "Let all the angels of God worship him" — that is in the Septuagint but absent from the Masoretic Hebrew text. The author of Hebrews, inspired by the Holy Spirit, chose the Greek Old Testament over the Hebrew.
• Fifteen entire books (Tobit, Judith, Wisdom of Solomon, Sirach, Baruch, 1 and 2 Maccabees, the Letter of Jeremiah, the Prayer of Manasseh, Susanna, Bel and the Dragon, and others) were inside every Christian Bible — including the 1611 King James Version — for roughly 1,400 years. They were removed in 1827 when the British and Foreign Bible Society voted to stop printing them, largely for cost and Protestant polemical reasons. Modern Protestant Bibles inherited that decision.
• The New Testament book of Jude, in verse 14, quotes the Book of Enoch by name: "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints." This is a direct quotation of 1 Enoch 1:9 — a book preserved as scripture by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church to this day, but not found in any Protestant or modern Catholic Bible.

ABOUT THIS CHANNEL
Sovereign Logos publishes the Septuagint — the Greek Old Testament quoted by Jesus, the apostles, and the early church fathers — as the unadulterated Scripture. We publish the deuterocanonical books (Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, Maccabees, and more) alongside the standard Protestant canon, and we publish the broader pseudepigraphal writings the apostles cited (like 1 Enoch) so that readers can engage every text the New Testament writers engaged with. Daily Bible readings, cross-references to every verse, the full Webster's 1828 dictionary for every biblical term, and a growing body of long-form flagship videos on textual history are all free at sovereignlogos.com.
Christ is King.
