Why were the Jews spared in Esther? Not for their blood. Because they turned back to God. Mordecai and Esther fasted in sackcloth, the whole people cried out in repentance, and God answered. God turned the heart of a pagan king from wrath to mercy. The same God sent Jonah to Gentile Nineveh and they repented. Israel was preserved until the Messiah came. The line of David had to continue to its appointed hour. The new Israel is not a bloodline. It is the followers of Christ, drawn from every nation, the children of Abraham by faith.
