Hebrews 8 carries the longest Old Testament quotation in the New Testament, from the prophet Jeremiah. The New Testament reads "and I regarded them not." Your Masoretic Old Testament flips it to the opposite: "although I was an husband unto them." One clause, opposite meaning. The apostle sided with the Septuagint, Jeremiah 38, or 31 in the Hebrew.
