24ANd they walked in the middes of the flame, praising God, & magnified the Lord. 25Then Azarias stode vp, and praied on this maner, and opening his mouth in the middes of the fyre, said, 26Blessed be thou, ô Lord God of our fathers: thy Name is worthie to be praised and honored for euermore. 27For thou art righteous in all the things, that thou hast done vnto vs, and all thy workes are true, and thy waies are right, & all thy iudgements certeine. 28In all the things that thou hast broght vpon vs, & vpon Ierusalem, the holie citie of our fathers, thou hast executed true 29For we haue sinned and done wickedly, departing from thee: in all things haue we trespased, 30And not obeied thy commandements, nor kept them, nether done as thou hadest commanded vs, that we might prosper. 31Wherefore in all that thou hast broght vpon vs, & in euerie thing that thou hast done to vs, thou hast done them in true iudgement: 32As in deliuering vs into the hands of our wicked enemies, & moste hateful traitors, and to an vnrighteous King, and the moste wicked in all the worlde. 33And now we may not open our mouthes: we are become a shame and reprofe vnto thy seruants, and to them that worshippe thee. 34Yet for thy Names sake, we beseche thee, giue vs not vp for euer, nether breake thy couenant, 35Nether take awaye thy mercie from vs, for thy beloued Abrahams sake, and for thy seruant Isaaks sake, & for thine holy Israels sake, 36To whome thou hast spoken and promised, that thou woldest multiplie their sede as the starres of heauen, and as the sand, that is vpon the seashore. 37For we, ô Lord, are become lesse then anie nacion, and be kept vnder this daye in all the worlde, because of our sinnes: 38So that now we haue nether prince, nor Prophet, nor gouernour, nor burnt offring, nor sacrifice, nor oblacion, nor incense, nor place to offer the first frutes before thee, that we might finde mercie. 39Neuertheles in a contrite heart, and an humble spirit, let vs be receiued. 40As in the burnt offring of rams and bullockes, & as in ten thousand of fat lambs, so let our offring be in thy sight this day, that it may please thee: for there is no confusion vnto them that put their trust in thee. 41And now we followe thee with all our heart, and feare thee, and seke thy face. 42Put vs not to shame, but deale with vs after thy louing kindenes, and according to the multitude of thy mercies. 43Deliuer vs also by thy miracles, & giue thy Name the glorie, ô Lord, 44That all they which do thy seruants euil, may be confounded: euen let them be confounded by thy great force and power, and let their strength be broken, 45That they maye knowe, that thou onelie art the Lord God, and glorious ouer the whole worlde. 46 Now the Kings seruants that had cast them in, ceased not to make the ouen hote with naphtha, and with pitche, and with towe, and with fagotes, 47So that the flame went out of the fornace fortie and nine cubites. 48And it brake forthe, & burnt those Chaldeans, that it founde by the fornace. 49But the Angel of the Lord went downe into the fornace with them that were with Azarias, and smote the flame of the fyre out of the fornace, 50And made in the middes of the fornace like a moyste hissing winde, so that the fyre touched them not at all, nether grieued, nor troubled them. 51Then these thre (as out of one mouth) praised, and glorified, and blessed God in the fornace, saying, 52Blessed be thou, ô Lord God of our fathers, and praised, and exalted aboue all things for euer, & blessed be thy glorious & holie Name, & praised aboue all things, and magnified for euer. 53Blessed be thou in the Temple of thine holy glorie, and praised aboue all things, and exalted for euer. 54Blessed be thou that beholdest the depths, & sittest vpon the Cherubims, & praised aboue all things, and exalted for euer. 55Blessed be thou in the glorious Throne of thy kingdome, and praised aboue all things, and exalted for euer. 56Blessed be thou in the firmament of heauen, and
