1And the daughters of Salpaad the son of Opher, the son of Galaad, the son of Machir, of the tribe of Manasse, of the sons of Joseph, came near; and these were their names , Maala, and Nua, and Egla, and Melcha, and Thersa;
1Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph came near. These are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
2and they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes, and before all the congregationat the door of the tabernacle of witness, saying,
2They stood before Moses, before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, at the door of the Tent of Meeting, saying,
3Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the midst of the congregation that rebelled against the Lord in the gathering of Core; for he died for his own sin, and he had no sons. Let not the name of our father be blotted out of the midst of his people, because he has no son: give us an inheritance in the midst of our father's brethren.
3“Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against Yahweh in the company of Korah, but he died in his own sin. He had no sons.
4And Moses brought their case before the Lord.
4Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.”
5And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
5Moses brought their cause before Yahweh.
6The daughters of Salpaad have spoken rightly: thou shalt surely give them a possession of inheritance in the midst of their father's brethren, and thou shalt assign their father's inheritance to them.
6Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
7And thou shalt speak to the children of Israel, saying,
7“The daughters of Zelophehad speak right. You shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers. You shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
8If a man die, and have no son, ye shall assign his inheritance to his daughter.
8You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.
9And if he have no daughter, ye shall give his inheritance to his brother.
9If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
10And if he have no brethren, ye shall give his inheritance to his father's brother.
10If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
11And if there be no brethren of his father , ye shall give the inheritance to his nearest relation of his tribe, to inherit his possessions; and this shall be to the children of Israel an ordinance of judgment, as the Lord commanded Moses.
11If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. This shall be a statute and ordinance for the children of Israel, as Yahweh commanded Moses.’”
12And the Lord said to Moses, Go up to the mountain that is in the country beyond Jordan, this mount Nabau, and behold the land Chanaan, which I give to the sons of Israel for a possession.
12Yahweh said to Moses, “Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.
13And thou shalt see it, and thou also shalt be added to thy people, as Aaron thy brother was added [to them] in mount Or:
13When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered;
14because ye transgressed my commandment in the wilderness of Sin, when the congregation resisted [and refused] to sanctify me; ye sanctified me not at the water before them. This is the water of Strife in Cades in the wilderness of Sin.
14because in the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
15And Moses said to the Lord,
15Moses spoke to Yahweh, saying,
16Let the Lord God of spirits and of all flesh look out for a man over this congregation,
16“Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
17who shall go out before them, and who shall come in before them, and who shall lead them out, and who shall bring them in; so the congregation of the Lord shall not be as sheep without a shepherd.
17who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, that the congregation of Yahweh may not be as sheep which have no shepherd.”
18And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Take to thyself Joshua the son of Naue, a man who has the Spirit in him, and thou shalt lay thy hands upon him.
18Yahweh said to Moses, “Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.
19And thou shalt set him before Eleazar the priest, and thou shalt give him a charge before all the congregation, and thou shalt give a charge concerning him before them.
19Set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and commission him in their sight.
20And thou shalt put of thy glory upon him, that the children of Israel may hearken to him.
20You shall give authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey.
21And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, and they shall ask of him before the Lord the judgment of the Urim: they shall go forth at his word, and at his word they shall come in, he and the children of Israel with one accord, and all the congregation.
21He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Yahweh. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.”
22And Moses did as the Lord commanded him; and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation.
22Moses did as Yahweh commanded him. He took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.
23And he laid his hands on him, and appointed himas the Lord ordered Moses.
23He laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as Yahweh spoke by Moses.
1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2Charge the children of Israel, and thou shalt speak to them, saying, Ye shall observe to offer to me in my feasts my gifts, my presents, my burnt-offerings for a sweet-smelling savour.
2“Command the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘See that you present my offering, my food for my offerings made by fire, as a pleasant aroma to me, in their due season.’
3And thou shalt say to them, These are the burnt-offerings, all that ye shall bring to the Lord; two lambs of a year old without blemish daily, for a whole-burnt offering perpetually.
3You shall tell them, ‘This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer to Yahweh: male lambs a year old without defect, two day by day, for a continual burnt offering.
4Thou shalt offer one lamb in the morning, and thou shalt offer the second lamb towards evening.
4You shall offer the one lamb in the morning, and you shall offer the other lamb at evening,
5And thou shalt offer the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meat-offering, mingled with oil, with the fourth part of a hin .
5with one tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering, mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil.

8And the second lamb thou shalt offer toward evening; thou shalt offer it according to its meat-offering and according to its drink -offeringfor a smell of sweet savour to the Lord.

10this is the burnt offering of every Sabbath, in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.
11And at the new moons ye shall bring a whole-burnt -offering to the Lord, two calves of the herd, and one ram, seven lambs of a year old without blemish.

12and three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, for each bull; and two tenth parts of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, for the one ram;

16“‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, is Yahweh’s Passover.
17And on the fifteenth day of this month [is] a feast; seven days ye shall eat unleavened bread.
17On the fifteenth day of this month shall be a feast. Unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days.
18And the first day shall be to you a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work.

19And ye shall bring whole-burnt-offerings, a sacrifice to the Lord, two calves of the herd, one ram, seven lambs of a year old; they shall be to you without blemish.
19but you shall offer an offering made by fire, a burnt offering to Yahweh: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old. They shall be without defect,
20And their meat-offering shall be fine flour mingled with oil; three tenth deals for one calf, and two tenth deals for one ram.
