All Nations Before The Throne Were Numbered Before They Ever Existed
@sovereignlogos·September 23, 2026
John sees a multitude no man could number, out of every nation, kindred, people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.
That scene has a root in the Old Testament, and the root reads differently depending on which Old Testament you open.
The Greek of Deuteronomy 32:8 says the Most High "set the bounds of the nations according to the number of the angels of God."
The Hebrew behind your English Bible says he "set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel."
One reading has the nations apportioned under heavenly powers from the beginning. The other quietly makes Israel the measure of the nations.
Revelation answers the first. The nations were divided at the start, and at the end they are gathered, not dissolved. Every kindred and tongue stands before the Lamb, redeemed by his blood, and they are still recognisable as nations when they get there.
The inheritance was never narrow. It was always going somewhere this wide.
