Nations in Revelation Are Redeemed, Not Erased. Here's Why.
@sovereignlogos·September 30, 2026
Revelation 21:24 reveals a profound truth: the nations are not erased in the New Jerusalem, but instead are gloriously redeemed through Christ. The scripture states, "And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it." Here, the nations bring their distinct glory into the eternal city, honoring the Lamb. This signifies that the diversity of nations is part of God's eternal plan.
God has always had a purpose for the nations. From the creation and bounding of nations to their judgment at Babel, and ultimately speaking to them at Pentecost, the Most High has worked through nations to fulfill His divine purposes. The redemption and glorification of nations in the New Jerusalem reflect that plan, with Jesus Christ as their guiding light.
This was always God's design: for the nations to walk in the light of His glory forever, not dissolved but redeemed, each bringing its own splendor to the Lamb.
