The Blood That Saves You Truly Transforms, But Not How You Think
@sovereignlogos·October 10, 2026
The blood of Jesus is often spoken of as the means by which believers are saved, but it also has the profound power to transform. After the crucifixion, Peter stood before a crowd in Jerusalem and boldly proclaimed the message of salvation through Jesus' sacrifice. The crowd, responsible for condemning Jesus, was 'pricked in their heart' as they listened. In Acts 2:41, it states, 'Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.' This pivotal moment demonstrated how the blood, which once signified judgment, now brings redemption and transformation to those who acknowledge it. The transformation is not in mere feeling but in the complete change of heart and purpose, as seen in the three thousand souls who became the first fruits of the Church. The blood of Jesus reaches beyond any depth of sin, offering redemption and new life to all who come to it.
